Kerigreen Compost is a material that provides a bio-nutrient ‘feast’ for Avocado, Kiwifruit, Lemons, Oranges, Mandarins, Blueberries and other premium food produce that Northland excels at growing. Kerigreen compost manufacturing operation started in 2007 when we commenced the collection of green waste from the Bay of Islands and Far North District. We invested in plant, equipment, extensive staff training and robust systems to ensure we deliver to our client’s premium compost solutions.
We collaborate with external technical expertise to maximise nutrient use during our composting process. Documented certificates are available for grower assurance, Hill Laboratories continues to maintain reliable testing for our customer satisfaction and Asure Quality audits our processes and systems.
Kerigreen strives to deliver quality and soil enhancing compost that provides economic and environmental benefits for our valued passionate orchardists.
Our goals are to:
- Manufacture compost solutions that are cost effective and sustainable.
- Maximise and nurture developments in the fresh produce industry to increase consumption of the products we produce.
- In doing so, make our products the preferred choice for growers.
- Continually invest in research and development to keep us at the forefront of our industry.
We are driven by our commitment to serve the specific needs of our customers, and we believe a key step in that process is to build and nurture these long-term relationships. We do this by tailored blends, catering to individual specific requirements and continuing to supply high quality compost that proves a successful and profitable crop.
Our customers are currently based throughout the North Island of New Zealand, predominately north of Auckland and each customer has their own specific requirements for Avocado, Kiwifruit, Lemons, Oranges, Mandarin's, Blueberries and other premium food produce.
Our Compost Blends:
Rich Mix Blend
Kerigreen Custom Blend: ask us today about our Kerigreen custom tailored compost blends to suit your specific orchard needs.
Band Spreader: Once delivered to site, we are able to apply the product to your orchard with our band spreader. This is specifically designed for an even application, to apply a concentrated band of nutritious compost to the base of plants or vines providing healthy and strong plants.
Broadcast: Although our number one application choice is banding, Kerigreen also has machinery capable of broadcasting offered as a second option.
Compost is typically applied in the fall just after harvest, or in the spring just before the buds break. Mid-season application can result in untimely produce yields and potentially affecting the quality of produce. If it is your orchards first application, it is extremely important to observe the effects of this taking into consideration the volume applied, so as to ensure correct volume for future applications.
